Isaiah L. Govia

Isaiah L. Govia was born in Billings, Montana, and raised in Pocatello Idaho. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1998, and obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy at Idaho State University in 2007. He attended Law School at Willamette University College of Law and obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2011. Isaiah worked as an extern for Public Defenders of Marion County during his second year of Law School, and worked as a student attorney for the Child and Family Advocacy Clinical Law Program during his third year where he provided legal services for low-income clients in the area of Domestic Relations. Following his admission to the Idaho State Bar, Isaiah worked as a Public Defender in Canyon County. He is a member of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Isaiah has experience in various types of criminal cases including but not limited to: drug offenses, DUI and driving while Suspended, Felony and misdemeanor domestic battery/assault, aggravated battery and attempted strangulation, as well as sex offenses and juvenile matters. He also has experience in divorce, child custody/support, and has handled matters involving the termination of parental rights.
